Hello everyone!
Before I start off with today's review, I just want to apologize for not posting on the blog last week. As some of you may know, I am in my final year of high school and it has been quite stressful and busy. I just didn't have time to write a post and if I did I was just so exhausted and went to bed early.
However, I am hoping this week will be better and I plan on writing some posts in advance to make sure there isn't a week where I don't have posts up.
Also, I am more active on my Instagram, if you want to see more daily what is going on book wise. You can check out my profile here.
Ok, now that we got that out of the way, let's get on with the review!
Just this past weekend, I picked up Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. I wasn't too sure what to expect from this book, I am not too big on fantasy and paranormally things, but I figured I would give this series a go.
And I loved it!
I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, like I said, I am usually not the biggest fan of fantasy and that sort of thing, but I can honestly say that this was a really great book.
If you are new to fantasy or you just don't love it that much, I would definitely recommend this book!
I loved Celaena's character and how she was so independent. She didn't take orders from anyone and she was her own person. I know that some people complain that she is too soft, and yes, I will agree there were times where she let down her guard for the love interest but that is to be expected! I am glad she did and I still saw her as a kick-butt assassin.
Overall, I gave Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas a 5/5 stars on Goodreads.
