Hello everyone!
I am back with another Monday Reviews! This week, it is The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. After reading Center of Gravity last week, I was in the mood for another psychological thriller, and TGotT did not disappoint!
Wow! So this was definitely a great book!
Even though it was a little slow in the beginning, it really picked up after about a hundred pages, and held my attention!
I kept trying to guess who the killer was, I went from Scott to Andy to Rachel. I didn't know who it was until I was about 80% done the novel, which was pretty good because it wasn't all that predictable. I don't want to say to much and spoil it, but there are multiple suspects, and I liked that it wasn't obvious.
In the end, while I suppose the reasoning for killing her made sense, I just felt like it was brushed off, like "oops didn't mean to." I was disappointed that it didn't end up being premeditated murder, and there wasn't this big plot of her death months ago. I think that would have made the book even more intense.
Overall, I enjoyed it. It was suspenseful but not too scary! I highly recommend, and I gave it 4/5 stars!
