Monday Reviews - My Second Life by Faye Bird

Hello everyone!

I am back with another Monday Reviews! This week, I am reviewing My Second Life by Faye Bird. Thanks so much to Raincoast Books for sending me an ARC of this book to review. All opinions are my own!

Overall, this was a good book. It just wasn't spectacular.

The concept of the book, being born again, and knowing it, is very intriguing, and if you add in a layer about in that first life, possibly committing a crime, and never really getting over that guilt, this book was very interesting.

I just found the more I read, the less intriguing the story became. The ending unravelled in a way that didn't really make a ton of sense to me, and I feel like a lot of the drama could have been avoided.

That being said, this was a very fast-paced story, I read it in one sitting of about 4 hours. It held my interest until the very end, even though I didn't love the ending.

If nothing else, this was a fast-paced, unique story about guilt and consequences.

Overall, I enjoyed it. If you are looking for a thriller that won't let go, and has just the smallest touch of mental illness, this is the book for you.
