The Winner's Kiss Blog Tour - Favourite Literary Kiss

Hello everyone!

I am so excited to be a part of the blog tour for The Winner's Kiss! It is my very first one, and I had a blast coming up with this post! To help promote the finale to this wonderful series, I was asked to share my favourite literary kiss. I don't know about you, but picking one is no small feat!

This may be a weird choice, but my favourite literary kiss is from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I know, of all the books I've read, I chose this one. This was one of the first books that revived my love of reading, after drifting away for a few years.

Peeta and Katniss obviously! #EverLark

This is my favourite literary kiss because it was the first kiss that I had read than made me feel something physically. At this point in the book, Peeta is recovering from an injury, they are in the thick of the Games, emotions are running high. I distinctly remember reading this kiss for the first time, swooning. It isn't until later that we learn of Peeta's feelings for Katniss, but this kiss shows that connection. It isn't an elaborate kiss, just a gentle nod to his affections for her.

I also love this kiss because it shows that, as cynical as a person may be, or as bad as a situation may look, love will prevail. Even though Katniss and Peeta are hurt, exhausted and starving, they have each other to hang on to.

Umm... Obviously Kestrel and Arin! Like Katniss and Peeta, they've had their issues, but I'm hoping that everything works out between them!

I absolutelty cannot wait to see what is in store for Kestrel and Arin in this amazing finale!

Also, for those who were wondering about the covers of the books, the publisher is releasing the original cover (the one in this post) as hardcover and the new covers as the paperback covers, YAY, so pre-order your copy today!
