THE CHARM BRACELET BY VIOLA SHIPMAN - BOOK REVIEW

Hello everyone!

I am back with another book review, today it is The Charm Bracelet by Viola Shipman! Thanks so much to Raincoast Books for sending me an ARC of this book for review. All opinions are my own!

I loved this book. It is the quintessential summer read about, love, life, and finding yourself.

This story follows three generations of Lindsey's, Lolly, her daughter Arden, and her daughter Lauren. Arden and Lauren live in Chicago, where Arden works as an editor of a magazine and Lauren studies business at Northwestern. However, end other woman is happy with her life.

When they get a letter from Lolly, in her small hometown, asking them to visit, Arden begrudgingly agrees to go for Memorial Day weekend.

However, as Lolly's health begins to fail, the women discover more about their family and her past than they ever knew, hearing stories about each charm Lolly has on her charm bracelet.

Along the way, Lolly helps them see that life has more value than just making money or other people happy, and Arden and Lauren make some major decisions.

Like I said, I loved this book. It just screamed summer to me. I can totally imagine sitting outside, in the sun devouring this book. Even though there was some cheesy clichés, this book had some amazing quotes that really made you stop and think.

I really connected with all of the characters, and I think generally, most people would. The are relatable and likeable. Almost everyone, I think, walks the line between doing what makes them happy and what others think they should do. This book talks a lot about not having any regrets and I think lots of readers would relate to being afraid and not pursuing their dreams.

I read this book in pretty much 6-7 hours straight, I couldn't put it down!

If you are looking for the perfect beachy, summer read, or just a book that will help push you outside your comfort zone, I highly recommend you pick this one up!
